HOUSEMATES WANTED!

 

We are a couple in our 50s that share a large beautiful 4-bedroom home in the Alberta Arts district.  2 of our housemates are moving out at the end of October and we are looking to replace them. 

 

Our home is located just off Alberta St. in the Alameda neighborhood, and is within blocks of dozens of restaurants, coffee shops and parks.

 

We are community minded, and enjoy gatherings. We both are artists and entrepreneurs, and work from home.  We currently have no pets, but are open to a cat or two.  

 

We value communication and collaboration - whether that is plotting the garden or planning a party. Yes, we have the occasional house meeting!  We enjoy making and sharing meals, and also know how to keep to ourselves before everyone has had coffee. (Morning chats not required). 

 

We are looking for like-minded grown-ups to join our home - which probably means over 40. We are open to other couples, particularly for the larger bedroom (though this might adjust the rent somewhat). 

 

New housemates will be required to go through a background check from our property management company, and sign a year long lease. 

​BEDROOM ONE
PRICE: $1200/mo
- large bedroom on the second floor with many West facing windows (excellent for sunsets). Includes private, in-suite bathroom with walk-in double-headed shower.
​BEDROOM TWO
PRICE: $1000/mo
East facing medium size bedroom.  (There is a small guest-bedroom between these two rooms, so they do not share a wall).  This bedroom has access to large 2-sink bathroom with bathtub, only shared with occasional house guests (not very common).   This room includes a lovely library area just outside the bedroom on the landing.

DATES: Rooms are available on November 1st

 

REQUIREMENT: You must have steady income and be able to pass a background check.

  • Air-conditioning/Heating - Gas Fireplace (maybe less awesome in the summer)
