Plan V Reverence

Plan V isn’t just a show - it’s an actual Gathering.

Plan V is a community of like minded humans who come together to revere the power of PUSSY. What a joy to welcome you into the folds!

While Plan V began as a performance, it has since morphed into a real life gathering. While we tour our production of Plan V, we offer a taste of what an ongoing Plan V cohort is like.

We gather to celebrate the miracle of life (thank you pussy!), the joy of being in a body, the opportunity to share wisdom and resources, and to practice the art of story sharing. We believe that story is how humans learn, and sharing our lived experience is a healing modality. We desired a more formal way to share our experiences than happy hour gabs (though those are good too!). We created Plan V as a way to prioritize sharing our stories and learning from one another.

We are often asked if Plan V is a “sex cult.” In that the the root word for cult comes from the Latin word, “to worship”, then yes. We worship Pussy. By talking about it! We are advocates for sex as a source of both pleasure and medicine. With Plan V, we seek to create a world where better sex can happen. Starting with Pussy-Havers revering and honoring their own pussies, and educating Penis-Havers about how their pussies liked to be worshiped.

What is Pussy?

Pussy is the word we currently use to refer to the entire female genital COMPLEX.(and boy girl human, is it ever! Complex, that is).

Pussy is Vagina, it is Vulva, it is also cervix and and ovaries and uterus and clitoris. It’s the whole She-bang.

It’s where every human being starts out life.

It’s the pleasure center of the body.

It is wildly powerful and deeply misunderstood.

(And maybe Pussy is not the word you would choose. Maybe you love yoni or fanny or womb or something else entirely. PLEASE USE WHATEVER WORD YOU LIKE! We dig into language at our meetings, rest assured).

When we say pussy, we are ALSO referring to the desire of every human on this planet to create. To bring forth. To nurture and to grow. That is Big Pussy Energy. Creative energy. Life force energy. That is true regardless of the genitals you were born with. We can all tap into that connection and source of power.

We describe Plan V as Pussy Led, but welcoming of all genders. We all started out life as female embryos. We all possess an X chromosome. We all come into this world with a desire to create. This is our shared connection. This is our shared humanity. While we encourage those with vulvas to speak first (as a counterbalance to the last five thousand years of silencing), we welcome hearing from penis people too*. While we prioritize hearing from Pussy Havers FIRST, we do not believe in a hierarchy. Having a pussy is not BETTER than having a penis. But we seek to create a space for Pussy Havers to be heard.

Pussy is also a symbol of the Goddess. The Great Mother. The source of all life, the portal through which we emerge, the womb of the world. We have lived through an millenia of male dominated religions - from which the divine feminine has been denigrated and demoted. We preach a return to the knowledge that She is the source, and it is through reverence and worship of the Sacred Pussy that we honor her.

Pussy is a trinity of meaning. It’s is the physical, it’s creativity, it’s divinity. We will use them interchangeably. However it is used, it is with reverence and respect. We reclaim all use of words that refer to female genitalia from being used to curse others. That is a blasphemy and one that we will root out and revile.

Every Plan V gathering will be different, as it will be co-created by the humans involved. Expect games, art making and stories.

Eleanor O’Brien is the playwright and performer of Plan V: The Rise of Reverence, and the founder of Plan V the Movement. She is a trained story healer and holds an MFA in theater.
